This season NFL teams began using Microsoft tablets on the sidelines during games to allow coaches and players faster access to the information they need. The tablets enable players and coaches to review and dissect previous plays immediately after they happen. Previously the players and coaches would be given binders with still photos to look through. Now they can get a much better idea of how a certain play unfolded and make adjustments based on what they see.
As with almost everything the more information you have at your disposal, the better. Getting that information as fast as possible can be critical, and can make the difference in an NFL game or in the business world. This is just one example of mobile technology improving current systems, with many more sure to come in the near future.
